Which is the right charging cable for my electric car?

Due to differences in charging standards in some countries, it is still not possible to use a single universal cable for all models of electric cars. That is why you need to check some technical parameters of your car. The first most important feature is the type of car connector, which can be European type 2 or Japanese/American type 1. It is also important for you to know the maximum charging current that your car allows.

EV Cables type 2

In Europe, type 2 connectors are defined as a standard by Directive 2014/94/EU of 22 October 2014. To charge your electric car from a public charging station in Europe, you most often would need either a cable with type 2 to type 2 connectors or an adapter cable with type 2 to type 1 connectors. Unlike the type 1 cables, type 2 cables are also available as three-phase with charging power up to 22 kW. You can also view our ev charging cables with control box (portable chargers).
