Smart regulation and adjustment via a free mobile app
The Internet connection capabilities of the stationary station allow intelligent adjustment of your charges, and the processes can be with a set operating mode during the hours when the electricity is at a lower price / tariff.
From the comfort of your smartphone and thanks to the EVPoint mobile application, you can set the minimum and maximum electricity you wish to charge, the time range in which the process should be carried out and save a daily schedule so that you do not have to constantly enter the desired parameters.
Through the mobile application, the station will fulfill your stated requirements, which guarantees the maximum efficiency of each charging with the EV7 station.
Choice of charging power
The charge rate can also be controlled. The single-phase charging station can charge at the amperage specified by you up to 32A – 7.4 kW. Given the massively used single-phase on-board chargers in electric vehicles currently on the market, the EV7 appears to be one of the most optimized chargers in terms of functionality and charging capabilities.
Thanks to its compact dimensions, the station can also be used as a mobile charger, and the charging power selection option allows adjustment to the optimal characteristics of the source of electrical energy.
When installed in a public location where other smart stations are installed, EVPoint EV7 can monitor the current consumption and adjust the charging power of all devices so that the network is not overloaded, and at the same time the process is not interrupted. This feature is known as Dynamic Load Management.
Real-time monitoring of charges
A convenient function of the EVPoint mobile application in combination with the charging station is the ability to remotely monitor charging in real time. In this way, you can see the current power, change the preset parameters or, if necessary, stop the charging.
Every download initiated through the app is recorded and stored in your charging history. From this section you can display statistics for a certain period and analyze the consumption of electricity used for the vehicle from your home.
RFID and Plug & Charge
If you use the charger to charge in a public location, you can use the option to start charging via RFID card. This way, anyone who has a specially trained card for your station will have access to it. When used at home, or if the station is installed in an object to which only you have access, the device can be set up in the so-called “Plug & Charge” mode – connect the cable and start charging.
The round color LED indicator gives information about the charging status. Also, can you get an idea of the station being ready to use, booting successfully, or has some problem and should not be used.
Protection and safety
Some stationary charging stations require the installation of additional devices to ensure safe charging, which can increase the cost of the project on your end. With the EVPoint EV7, the installation of such protections is not necessary. The station has built-in residual current protection, which is taken care of in the event of a problem.
CTClamp - intelligent power distribution to avoid network overload
The CTClamp function allows the simultaneous operation of electrical appliances and the charging station without overloading the network.
How does it actually work?
Through the installation of a sensor in the central panel, the EVPoint EV7 charging station receives real-time data on the instantaneous consumption of a household / object. If the limit of a given network is, for example, 30 kW, and at a specific moment other consumers are using 27 kW of electrical energy, the charging station will receive information and adapt charging according to the available energy. At a reduced consumption of 20 kW, the station will again start charging your electric car with the maximum 7.4 kW. In this way, it is impossible for the network to be overloaded as a result of charging the electric car
