Type 2 three-phase chargers

These charging stations for electric cars are wall boxes with a type 2 plug. With them you can charge with a maximum of 22kw of power – 32A and 3 phases. The type 2 plug is the standard in Europe and is now also installed in Asian and American electric cars. The current is limited by the specifications of the charging cable and type 2 plug. The charging stations have copper wires with a cross-section of 6 mm² for a maximum current of 32A. This cross-section even allows up to 35A in normal operation, but is limited to 32A in electromobility to prevent overheating.

How long does it take to charge my car?

Do different EVs require different chargers?

There are two standard connectors that the different EV models use (Type 1 and Type 2), the market is moving towards using the European standard Type 2, but charging points are available in both, and there are also adapter cables from Type 1 to Type 2.

Can I charge with solar panels?

Yes, there are several ways to do this. One is to use the special charger that redirects excess production to an electric vehicle.
